MIDI files and SINGERS:   Mighty useful things really, especially as ALL recordings made for you at SONGRISE are also stored as midi-files, so that when the dog eats your tape, or the kids use your backing CD for a frisbee,  it can be easily re-recorded. 
ALSO, by using the multi-track feature of MIDI programs, (the ability to ADD / REMOVE  bits of music 'on top of' something that has already been recorded) we can add guide vocal tracks and remove them later when you are ready to go without the 'training wheels'
SUMMARY: The technology can aid you in being better prepared as a singer!!
