How can I search for a song in a 'TITLE' database
when I'm not sure if I have the CORRECT title?

Well, you may have to do a bit of detective work:
1. First of all, Ask me!    I am happy to search my personal 'memory banks'  >CONTACT ME
2. The various Performing rights and Copyright organisations maintain on-line databases that can be searched by author, performer, and title. This may be helpful.
There are a few listed HERE
3. Try entering the words you DO KNOW into your favourite search engine, (Along with the word 'lyric' if you like, -- that may help narrow the search)  and see what comes up.
For instance: Here I am wracking my brains trying to remember the  title of that song that had the words: "drowned the tender reed....some thing.......something." (you know that feeling!)
I just looked it up  in my favourite search engine at GOOGLE, and there it is, a page dedicated to the full title and lyrics of 'The Rose' --  that Bette Midler hit from the 80's. Ah! now I can sleep tonight.
4. Do you know the name of the artist / band / associated with the song?
Try searching on their name and see if you come across something that prompts your memory, or more of the lyrics or a familiar title.
THEN, armed with that information, Come back to the search pages here and try again!!!!!!
